How will dancing work?

Due to COVID, Riverside Yacht Club will not allow a dance floor at our wedding. What is this - Footloose?!

Matt and I pivoted, because that's what you do during COVID,  and decided that immediately following dinner, by boat and by shuttle, we will move everyone to private property.

The celebration will be under the stars in Matt's childhood home's backyard. Dance floor? Check. Band? Double check. Food truck. Oh yeah!

  •

We recommend you fly into LaGuardia (LGA) and take an Uber/Lyft to Riverside, Connecticut.

There are several New York City airports that you can fly into for our big day and we recommend you fly into the them in this recommended order:

La Guardia (LGA)

    • It's a quick (~ 45 minutes) ride via taxi/Uber/Lyft to Riverside, CT where the wedding festivities are occurring.
    • It is a big hub for Southwest Airlines.
    • It's a quick (~ 25 minutes) ride via taxi/Uber/Lyft to Manhattan if you decide to spend a couple days in the city prior to the wedding weekend.

John F. Kennedy (JFK)

    • It's a longer (~ 1 hour) ride via taxi/Uber/Lyft to to Riverside, CT where the wedding festivities are occurring.
    • It's also a longer ride into Manhattan.

Newark (EWR)

    • Do not fly into this airport unless you know what you are doing!
    • This airport is in New Jersey on the other side of the Hudson River, but again close enough to the city that if the price is right and you know what you're doing - get it!

Take the MetroNorth (MNR) New Haven Train Line from Grand Central Station to the Riverside, CT stop.

  • You can access a train from Grand Central Station to Riverside, CT in order to attend the Fridays night's Welcome Drinks or Saturday's wedding extravaganza.
  • It's about a 1 hour ride and tickets should either be bought in Grand Central Station or online on their MTA eTix ticket app.
  • Tickets are more expensive on the train so get them ahead of time!
